Rotarians Enjoy Social at the Propst Family Farm

Over 80 Rotarians and guests enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Trent and Kelly Propst at their beautiful family farm. Families enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of food and fellowship while some members fished in the front pond.

The Coins for Alzheimer's Research Trust (CART) Fund committee also put together a friendly cornhole tournament that was a lot of fun and raised $450.

Rotarians Participate in Park Cleanup Day

Cabarrus Rotarians spent the morning at Frank Liske Park preparing the Disc Golf course for the upcoming Rotary Spring Fling Disc Golf Tournament. Rotarians and family members help spread mulch along the course and other beautification preparation so our first annual tournament will be perfect!

Thank you to everyone who came out to help.

Off-Site Visit to Hickory Ridge High School

Our Rotarians were treated to a fantastic breakfast prepared by the students in the Culinary Arts program at Hickory Ridge High School. Several of the high schools in our district now have academies that help students learn job skills. The one at Hickory Ridge is the Academy for Global Hospitality and Tourism and is led by long-time Johnson & Wales professor Felicia Pritchett.

The students prepared all of the food, acted as servers and shared with us their aspirations for the future.
